War hero. The strongest in the world.

Those are the epithets of the protagonist I created in my novel.

Now I have to catch and destroy that bastard.

In agreement with Marcus's views, the negative feedback on this story is misleading and greatly misrepresents it. This is actually a fantastic work of fiction. The protagonist does not conceal his abilities; quite the contrary, he conceals the reason behind his strength due to its significant vulnerability.

The story does not make him seem foolish for dramatic effect; instead, any misunderstandings among the characters stem from humorous and light-hearted situations. His lack of intimacy with female leads does not label him a "eunuch"; their romantic development has been minimal, so the complaint is unfounded. Plus, he's still grieving the loss of his past love.

He does not attempt to control or manipulate events to fit the original plot; rather, he works behind the scenes to maintain stability without altering the course. The narrative does not paint him as purely good; the world depicted is nuanced with shades of gray. A particular scene mentioned by another reviewer shows the enemy kingdom planning to assassinate a ruthless empire general, putting countless lives at risk. The MC intervenes to save lives and preserve potential future benefits, preventing a war from resurfacing.

I find it disingenuous that the other reviewer criticized that scene out of context, misunderstanding the story's themes and circumstances. Give the story a chance; it boasts well-developed characters, numerous humorous moments, engaging character dynamics, and thrilling moments for the protagonist. Overall, it's an enjoyable reading experience.

The novel is quite engaging, with a clear objective to prevent the apocalypse, which虽然老套但易于理解. The characters' interactions are humorous, and the protagonist's limited cheat ability adds an intriguing suspense element as readers wonder how he'll navigate dangerous situations. Some negative feedback criticizes the main character's personality, but it's important to remember that he's a relatable human, not a flawless, magical being often found in these types of stories where characters possess exceptional knowledge.

Additionally, there are complaints about the character development, suggesting it's the MC's fault for their flaws. However, the author reminds us that the characters are mere creations, tools in the protagonist's story, not autonomous individuals. This dynamic might evolve as the story progresses, forcing the MC to confront the reality of his characters and grow emotionally.

Overall, the book is solid, with only a minor annoyance in the form of misunderstandings that are handled well enough to remain tolerable. The inclusion of a mysterious third party and the anticipation of the second continent add excitement to the plot.

Despite its initial appearance to hold promise, this novel quickly proved to be a disappointment, falling into the realm of clichés. Within just 25 chapters, the author packed in an astonishing array of tired tropes - a character hiding their abilities for arbitrary reasons, a witless eunuch protagonist, forced stupidity to create artificial conflict, and a last-minute save that serves as a mere afterthought, conveniently arriving in chapter 25.

The premise of the story revolves around the main character (MC) accidentally disrupting the plot by enrolling in the academy and inadvertently eliminating the original protagonist. Despite acknowledging his role in derailing the narrative, the MC stubbornly insists on maintaining the "status quo," which seems illogical.

His behavior is confusing and contradictory. He tolerates a spy heroine who tries to poison him (a false accusation), yet fiercely rejects the approach of a saintly heroine, perceiving her as a threat to his plans. This inconsistency becomes apparent in how he deals with conflicts: instead of addressing issues proactively, he takes unnecessary risks, like endangering everyone's lives to deal with explosions or protecting a cruel general at the cost of innocent lives due to the opposing side's desperation.

The novel currently lacks depth, with the MC being passive and inconsistent, the protagonist portrayed as a heartless killing machine, the academy inefficient, the kingdom faction cowardly and cruel, and the empire faction arrogant and cruel. The heroines are the only redeeming aspect since they haven't committed any extreme actions yet, but the author's hope for them to bring reason to the story seems uncertain. Overall, the narrative appears to be a messy and unlikable mess.

I nearly discarded a book I enjoyed because of its overwhelmingly negative star ratings. Initially, some comments claimed the protagonist didn't care when the maid supposedly poisoned him, but that was a misunderstanding; the real culprit turned out to be someone else. The protagonist maintained a distance from the saintly character, believing they wore a facade for public appearances. While it's unclear how accurate this perception is, it seems there might be more layers to the character's story. What do you think?
